Hello hello!
So if you've been on this site for a while, then you might notice there's some... pretty big differences happening. HOME has gotten a big make-over! Please comment if you find any broken links! I'm trying to have all the images there, be a link. Except for the top image. So the images should be taking you to SHAREEN, TIE MELENA, LUEGERIA, ZABUNUX, and TEREKIIVA/HELDE HIINE, oh and HOMEBREW! Because that's a page on it's own! I am still rolling out and updating the pages, so please bear with me. Should I have waited until things were finished? Hmm, probably! But that's not how I roll! I let you see the work in progress! As a added bonus. I am splitting the homebrew into new categories. I'm trying to think of what to make the character creation page look like! Argh! But species specific magic or power is gonna be on the homebrew species personal page! There is a small hitch with this, since the zabu species have.... a lot of really vague powers. So I might just go for the main 3 styles that those species normally get! And if players want one of the other gzabu powers, they can ask me for em! <3 But yes, the information from the "species stats" page are now separated, so if you want to compare species... open up a new tab, mate! Hmmm... I think what I need to do next is... continue on the new species pages for homebrew, but also finish cleaning up the world maps. Should I have names on the pages, or have that be a special map, or just use the map with place names? Hnnnn, decisions!! Thank you for reading!

I've long had it so that isphers, when not receiving enough dedication/prayers, would resort to throwing natural disasters at the towns or areas which were slacking. But this never really sat well with me.
While talking with my friend Luke, I realised that they're not doing this on purpose, they're losing control of the elements in that area, thus resulting in the disasters!! Okay, to backtrack! There are three ways of getting powers, and becoming more powerful! 1st is to inherit powers from someone. I.e. that someone gives you their nurtured powers as they pass away. Examples are Dalin receiving his father Hachid's powers when Hachid has... a bad ending to his story. -This power is already "levelled up" so to speak, so in game terms, it's like a level-up jump potion for your lv 10 character to become lv50. 2nd is to nurture your power, train it, and otherwise work hard at it. Examples are Anani, Gelm, Nenua, all who had no help from the outside, but trained their powers to become something more. A better example would be a lot of the gods(like the Zaevende/Tribe of Anani) in the Aora galaxy. Given enough time, you can become godlike in your specific powerfield. Only drawback is that not everyone lives long enough to attain this. The aforementioned zabu all got likirna gems from the Core of Zabunux which granted them longer lives. -This power takes time, and you're the "I pull all-nighters in order to get as good as I got!" type of person. 3rd is to receive prayers, devotion, love, dedication, from followers. Examples are the isphers. These were normal people until the Zaevende ascended them into a form which would allow them to live indefinitely and "care for the garden" which was their world. -This power needs constant refilling from followers lavishing you with offerings and warm thoughts. The drawback is that if these things are withheld or stop, then your powers also stop. The isphers that we see in Shareen are not all the same that was from Helde Hiine. Irithma was replaced(though this was due to death occurring and they needed to select a new Irithma), and Ciga Leh was also very close to dying due to not having any dedicated followers on Shareen. The only reason why Bansno is still hale and hearty is because the other ispher siphon off some of their followers love to him, so he can continue to guard and support departed souls that need to return to Nananli. As a last note, the gems of Zabunux are not perfect replacements for actual powers. They're more like amplifiers of existing traits and powers. Likirna cannot prolong your life if you get the gem after you're dead, and the welina stone is not a powerful healing stone, you need to have the focus to heal in the first place. Though yes it will still heal the holder automatically. Hello and welcome to patch "uhhh, I never numbered them to begin with."
So I have finished the example/default art of the species. Now comes the fun part of adding regional variants! It should be easy since it's the same pose, for the most part. Here we see the janborian and fjetrell variants! Click the names here to be taken to their respective pages. I am currently adding the information for the fjetrell variations, but I feel like it will mostly be sleeping habits and smaller things. Unlike the janborian who have this huge difference, even names and such-- the fjetrell are mostly different in appearance and what walking tree they use and what kind of soil they sleep in and how it affects their colouration. Also new this week is more work done on the Abilities list! Added aoe konac magic, and writing more on it. Hm, I need to double down and finish this wallpaper for patreon though! woops!! Okay that's if for me this round!! Please stay safe! Chas pa! WELP! The time has come!
Since drawing the zabu looking different for male/female, made people think they had gender dismorphism, I had to change that. But the last straw has been reached, so I'll be implementing sub species to each of the species now. The issue right now is... where do I put it on their page. Right after description, or at the bottom of it all, or right after society! XD OH THE CONUNDRUM!! Just for those who read these rambling blogs, here's some tidbit for y'all! Subspecies that I know about already: Azabu: Cliff folk & plains folk. Mazabu: Cold climate & hot climate Fjetrell: Forest & mountain (maybe also plains and swamp??) Janborian: Highland tribe / lowland tribe / costal tribe Kiva: Cityfolk & Nomads Maremis: Forest & Plains Toimendos: Mountain / Plains / Forest / Jungle / City / Coastal Acrias: Forestdweller & citydweller Konac: Plains / mountain / forest / coastal Mapreture: Nobles / Crafter / Miner The ones that I didnt mention here, either doesn't have a sub race/culture, or because they just don't have big differences within their own species. Of course, these are all made so that I can properly stat the subraces for my homebrew OR, because they have outward differences. ^^ Either way, thanks for reading! I'm gonna go eat something, and then rp later today! I've begun to draw and add "adventurers" to the species pages. They're not the only version of that species. Please take a moment to read their description, so you'll know how different you can make yours.
So far there's the Luegs, and the Zabus that's been drawn. The next should be the Likan. While this species is a magical one, wearing robes doesn't make sense for them, since they take energy from the sun. Wearing a lot of heavy robes if pretty dumb for them. However, they are from a primarily farming community, so their clothes are also practical. I think I'll have some fun with designing their outfit for adventuring. ♥ Of course, there are Likans living in towns who make their work as something other than farmers, so overalls are not your only option. Next after them will be Konac, which will be more challenging, since they don't adventure, as much as travel around their own territories. If a Konac is for some reason separated from their colony, I'm just gonna guess they'll use what's at hand to make leather clothing. The only exception from this being the colony of only aoe Konac, who creates tapestries and silks. I'm also working on an updated spell list. I'm very torn between making my own, or just using the 5e D&D spell list. Might borrow some, but primarily rework most of them to function with my own system and the Hiine magic system. It's more based on the Final Fantasy style of battle system. I've also done what people tell us never to do. I've stat'ed some key npcs, mostly so that if any PCs are foolish enough to attack or provoke them, I can pull out fair numbers on them. Will probably kill em almost instantly, but hey, it'll be a fair TPK GDI! Added some drawings. Since most of the "demigods" are from the different species, I used a lot of them as examples until I draw draw better ones.
Hope this helps with seeing what the species/races look like. :D Hello, I figured having a blog here might help if people are wondering what's been changed or updated.
As of now, I've added in most of the Isphers, though I have yet to add all their move sets. All the Ispher have pictures now at least. And funnily enough, they're also the Shareen races, so there's an example of male, female and aoe. :D Also adding more name examples and sort of generators in that you can pick and put together bits and bobs to shape names if you're having trouble. I've decided that some of the races just have their names on their information page, and others have their own page. |
